Sketching
Today has been a disappointing day of sketching. I think I spent almost the same amount of time looking for a place to sketch as I did sketching. I met Ryan and Matt at the library to sketch in the afternoon. We got a private room, and sketched for an hour. Matt had a hard time getting the lady at the desk to understand that we wanted a room, but when he did get her to understand she said we only had one hour because the library was going to close.
I think it takes about an hour to get the good ideas flowing, so having to leave so soon was hard. We wandered into the Product design building after we left the library. We found an empty room and started to set up. You would think setting up to sketch is a quick process, but you're wrong. We had to turn the air-conditioners on, turn the fans on, turn the lights on, turn the fans off because they blow the papers away, set up music, pull out the right pens, etc etc.
So the music is going, everything is looking good, then BAM, a student comes in and tells us he has to lock the rooms up. We had to relocate once again to some room across the building. And this room was no good. Too much loud (bad) music, rickety tables, annoying people.
We got the sketches finished though, finally.
